Exploring Burke Mountain

We did a fun little collaboration with Mosaic Homes and their new development, Mitchell, for their “Explore Burke Mountain With Your Dog” Campaign back in May 2021.

Before this project, we knew very little about Burke Mountain even though we’ve done a few hikes at the Pinecone Burke Provincial Park here and there. If I could summarize the feel of Burke Mountain, I’d say that it feels comparable to North Vancouver. It’s very family-friendly and perfect for people who love the nature-living lifestyle. There’s basically no high rises in the area, making the neighbourhood nice and quiet, with the added bonus of having nature and scenic trails are right in your backyard.

We were quite impressed by the show home, initially by the interior finishes and furnishings, and then also by the usage of space. Most of the townhouse felt pretty open and airy.

This blog post wasn’t part of the collaboration deliverables, but I wanted to share some of the images we captured that day from the Mitchell show home, our Woodland Walk hike, and at the nearby Burke Mountain Pioneer Park. Enjoy!

Side note: since this was the first time we’ve did a commercial project with the pups, one thing I realized and learnt from this shoot was that because I was so used to putting the pups as the objects of focus in the photos (and videos), I tend to miss out on areas of the shooting location that could’ve been included in the footage. I always make a mental note of that now!

Many trails in Pinecone Burke Provincial Park are mountain biking trails. Proceed with caution!
